One Year!

Our little baby has been with us for a whole year already! Nate and I got to go home for a while and visit our families just a week before Taven's birthday, so we celebrated there. In Nate's hometown, we had an awesome family reunion that consisted of about 18 hours of volleyball tournaments (among other things) and it was so much fun! I miss having a ton of people around to play with! Later that weekend we celebrated the birthday and Taven got to eat some cake and ice cream. He was really tired and he thought the cake was gross and kept gagging, but he loved the ice cream Grandpa fed him. The next day we were at my house and celebrated with family, friends and more cake. He still didn't like the cake though. I don't think going straight from grapes and applesauce-type baby food to crisco really tasted all that great to Taven. We still got some fun pictures and got to spend some much needed play time with family and friends. On Taven's actual birthday we didn't do anything and even though he had no idea what day it was, I started feeling bad for not doing anything all day so I gave him a cookie to make myself feel better. Here are some pics of the events! FYI Texas just got over a record of 30 straight days over 100 degrees. Sick.

  1. Happy Birthday Taven! He's such a cutie. Can't wait for him to grow up so we can tell stories on his daddy!! Wish we could have seen you guys when you were in Idaho! I know Grandpa and Grandma Dutson loved every second!! Try to stay cool...
