Car Accident

So I wanted to spread the word about Nate's car accident on Saturday. He is completely fine other than a little sore back so that made it all ok, but it still sucks to have to deal with this now. Nate was going down a highway with cruise set at 70 mph (cute boy never speeds) on a four lane with no median. The car in the lane in front of him pulls off the the right slowing to the shoulder like they are going to stop. They then flip a u-turn from the right lane, slamming into the side of Nate's car sending him skidding sideways across the other two lanes of oncoming traffic and into the ditch. He said when he got out of his car and saw the other car, he was sure someone was dead and took off at a sprint thinking he was going to perform all his boy scout maneuvers and save lives, but luckily everyone was fine. This is a picture of the other car after all the wreckage was cleaned up

And this picture above is the side of Nate's jeep. So we were just happy everyone was alive when this all happened and were too concerned about the rest of it because everyone had full insurance converage. We have since discovered the other driver is contesting that it was Nate's fault and her story doesn't match up with his. We also learned that we are most likely dealing with a totaled car. So now this little problem has turned into a huge poop factor. She slammed into the side of his car doing a u-turn and is trying to say it's Nate's fault even though she has insurance (isn't that the point of insurance? so you don't have to worry about all the costs of hitting other people). Nate always gets after me because I have generally no faith in humanity. I counter and present Exhibit A.

  1. Gotta love people. Good thing no one was hurt but I have to laugh at MR. BSA living up to the motto of "Always prepared."
