There are a few people on my blog friends list that can be counted on to post updates regularly. Some people are just good at regularly scheduling blog updates. I love reading updates about others' lives (I like checkin up on my peeps!) and the reading is often good entertainment so to these people I say thank you. On another note, I am not one of these people. I don't update regularly and have a lot that I probably should be putting on here for friends and family back home as well as any creepstas following me. So here are a few updates!
We finally got the people who totalled Nate's jeep to accept blame and got a check for the jeep. Now we are on to negotiating medical reimbursement and pain and suffering damages. Nate has been, understandably, pretty stressed about the whole ordeal because he lost his baby. By the way he is still in morning for her so any calls or letters of condolence would be greatly appreciated. Anyway my point is that I think pain and suffering should cover the pain and suffering of the wife and son as well. Nate is soooo nice to strangers (not a quality I can claim) so we will see how that turns out. On the bright side, we found a replacement baby-jeep! It's a Grand Cherokee again so Nate is pretty excited. We just finalized everything today and are going to Dallas this week to get it. I've never been to Dallas so it will be a fun little road trip.
Holiday updates: Christmas = awesome. New Years = total waste. We got a new tv and PS3 for Christmas and as much as I hate to admit it, we spent 99.9% of the break on the couch with our friends Netflix, Call of Duty, and Rock Band. Some of the best purchases we have made in a long time.P.S. - Nate is crafty. We didn't have money for a big entertainment center for the new tv so we got two tiny stands and Nate rigged them together and it looks like the real thing! Go Nate! As for New Years - I was exhausted because Taven has changed his wakeup time to 6am as of late and we were in the middle of a Heroes marathon New Years Eve day (we are new to heroes and it's not amazing, but still pretty entertaining). I passed out on the couch at 10:30, drooled myself awake by 11:30, told Nate happy new year and went upstairs to bed. It gets a little crazy around this house of party animals sometimes.
I start my second to last semester in a little over a week! I was hoping this would be my last semester, but there are a few classes I need that are only offered in the fall. So, two more and I will finally have my BA! Then, after I graduate maybe we will buy one more baby so we can be done having kids. Well, I will be done having kids, but my husband might say otherwise. I just think that two is such a good number! One for each parent to handle, still room in the middle seat in the back of the car, close family time, and possibly closer relationships. I don't know though because I never had a lot of siblings, but it just seems easier. Or maybe we will just have eleven instead.
I will post pictures of the new car when I get them, but until then that is all the updates I have worth writing about. Happy new year everyone!
Funny girlie. Grandma would love 3 more little Tavens running around at the Dutson house. Love you guys!

So every time i see a picture of taven it makes me smile so big. He is the cutest little thing ever! so, i'm officially the dumbest friend ever and you probably don't believe me when I say I want to come visit because I never follow through. The truth is now I am randomly going to hawaii with my mom and sisters this next week. I only found out three weeks ago and that was after i told you I wanted to come out and see you. So i didn't just change my mind; i've been saving every penny for hawaii. But i do still want to come out but it probably won't be for a few more months now because Feb and into march is going to be crazy for me. But I'll let you know when things settle down and i have a weekend to come down and see you:)
ReplyDeletep.s. yes that was a new puppy, i got her in july to satisfy my need for a baby that wasn't getting fulfilled....
