So today I actually feel like posting because I am done with the semester! I think it was actually the worst semester I have ever had. But we made it! Now only one more semester to go...

Nate left last Saturday to go to his yearly training, and it has been a pretty uneventful week for Taven. I just sat at my computer finishing up my semester projects for the majority of the time. It's been hot outside and the best I could do to entertain Taven was trips to the store (woot) and Spongebob. Or as Taven calls it Buh-bob. Nate is on his way home as we speak and having someone to talk to again is going to be great. I bet Nate can't wait to hear all my awesome stories! "And Wednesday we watched Spongebob, and Thursday Little Mermaid, and then, oh you're not going to believe this one, today, Hercules!"

I know this is all too exciting to handle so far, but it's about to get even more exciting, so brace yourself. Taven got his first official haircut and second black eye this month (this first was from a metal chair that fell and hit him on the bridge of his nose in nursery). He didn't take the haircut too well, but it looked way cute and he even got to rock a fauxhawk while it was short enough. As for the black eye, he got crazy and hit it on the car door while Nate was trying to carry him inside. I then found out, there is no such thing as an Instacare within an hour of me! So, it wasn't ER worthy injury and he ended up being fine, but that was another great Texas discovery.

So, I now have a great reason for anyone who is reading this to come visit me. We are getting season passes for the summer to Schlitterbahn Waterpark, which is a cool enough waterpark to be on those Discovery and Travel channel type shows. I have only been to the indoor version of the one in Galveston that was open in the winter, so I can't wait to see the whole thing. So visiting me means Travel Channel-type fun!

Some other things I've been thinking about:

Even though I don't let myself eat them too often (I'm pretty sure they lack any nutritional value) I really like Jose Ole Chimichangas.

I'm really not excited to try potty training in full swing. Ugh.

I really like Chicago! I just don't know if I like the cold weather, even though Nate's trying to convince me it's not any worse than Utah.

Commercials on kid's channels drive me crazy! So thanks to Nate's friend who set us up with a hard drive player. Now we own every tv show and movie you can think of in digital format - no more commercials!

I think I'm happy doing anything as long as I have a lot of cool people around me to do whatever it is with. I don't have a lot of people around down here so I'm having trouble getting motivated to do things.

My family is great! Nate's parents, siblings, extended relatives = all awesome. My parents, brother and his family, and extended family = all awesome. If your family frustrating you, I'll share mine. They are all too cool for school.

I think I'm finally getting an iPhone for my bday! Sweet! They are addicting - I call Nate's his mistress.

One last thing: I decided I really like getting to know people's "isms." Meaning little known facts or what weird things make people tick. Kind of like these pointless things I just mentioned above. So, it you are reading this and you have a blog, I dare you to write a post all about your isms. Then I can read them and laugh. :)
