I'm back! It has been a seriously long time since I have done this and I am blaming it on school! This has been a rough semester and any down time I have had has been spent sleeping or playing with my little buddy. A lot has happened since December, so I will do the best to catch up (this pictures are all out of order so you will have to make sense of them yourself).

At the first of this year, we had some friends that hit the road after graduation with no plans other than to drive. They loaded up with their two huskies in the car and headed out and we told them they better plan on stopping in Texas - not actually expecting them to drive 28 hours to see us. They called us from California and said the storms there (during hurricane time) were going to keep them from the beach. The next day they called and said they were in New Mexico on the way to see us! We thought they were crazy, but were so excited to have some friends around finally! During their stay we went rock climbing, camped out at the beach, and loved us some huskies. It was so fun and they are way awesome friends - so the invite is out there to any other friends that want to be bumped up on the top friends list to come visit! It will be a party.....so DO IT!

Literally a few hours after we said goodbye to our friends, the living room flooded. We traced it to the water heater and had to have some emergency maintenance done. At no fault of the maintenance crew, everything that could have gone wrong did leaving us without hot water for about four days. We didn't have a working water heater for almost a week, and the poor crew was at our house from sunup to sundown the whole time. SO that was fun...

Last month Nate and I were able to head to Chicago to DJ a wedding for one of our great friends and Nate's friend was nice enough to drive us around and show us the city. Nate has been there quite a few times, but it was all new and exciting to me! Chicago has one of the most amazing skylines I have ever seen and every type of food you can imagine. We got to see the river dyed green for St. Paddy's Day, eat alligator, lamb, and pork at Hot Doug's, see the Chicago temple, and go to an improv at Second City. It was such a nice vacation and a beautiful wedding. Nate was back in his element as the DJ and I had a dance party with a bunch of people I didn't know and it was fantastic.

Nate headed home after Chicago and I went back to Utah for a few weeks to visit. We got to spend a lot of time with my brother's family, and Taven got to play with dogs that actually let him get close (Rocky is not the most trusting of Taven). So thank you Mya and Lucky! We went to a Children's Museum which I decided us just about one of the best places to keep a kid entertained, ate a lot of good food (again), spent some time with great friends, and slept a lot. By the time we were getting ready to leave i think Taven preferred my brother, sister-in-law, his cousin, his grandparents over me. We both had such a great time.

So now we are back to present time and all there is left right now is school and work. Nate is super busy right now, I have more projects and tests than I can handle, and Taven lost all his playmates. So once again the invitation is out there - if you are reading this (and if I have met you before) you have my permission to come visit! :) No stalkers, please.

Anyway, we are doing great and looking forward to another 120 degree summer spent out by the pool! Love everyone and all my great friends and family that made all those visits and vacations so great! Thanks everyone!
