Unrelated Updates

I am coming home next week and I can't wait! Nate has to go to a training thing for two weeks so I will be home for about three weeks while he is gone. I can't wait to have a break and sleep in and play with everyone. I've decided that I have a lot of really awesome friends and family and I'm excited to see as many of them as I can while I am there.
So Nate and I own a lot of different seasons of tv comedy and decided we needed to branch out into a different genre until the next FOTC or Office seasons come out. We settled on Lost and are pretty hooked. We watched the first season in about a week when we were staying at the cabin and it seemed to make it extra scary. We just got the second season a few days ago and are already almost on the third disk. I love it in a horrible obnoxious sort of way. If you have ever heard Dane Cook's standup about his beef with Lost it explains how I feel perfectly. This week I decided to take Taven for his first swim over at the pool and I knew it wasn't heated, but I didn't know that meant it would be ice water. We mostly sat on the first step while he splashed and gasped when the water hit his stomach. It was really warm outside so it was still really fun, but hopefully pretty soon it will be warm enough to actually swim in it. I wish I had pictures of us to post, but I couldn't finagle it by myself near the water with Taven in tow. That and I hate my camera. A few months ago I realized I got my current camera for Christmas just before high school when digital cameras were just getting popular. Since then, I have been developing an increasing hatred for my camera and how bad it sucks. I'm pretty sure Nate is getting me a new one for my birthday and then I will have all kinds of great pictures to post.
We still love it here and Nate is having so much fun at his new job. He gets to do what he does best - talk to people. He has a lot of events revolving around meeting people and making a good impression, so he is basically in heaven. It still definitely has its stresses, with a few weird hours here and there, but it is a great job for him. Finally. :)

  1. um yeah... you need a camera so you can start circulating pictures of your surroundings and child for all those creeps out there to look at.

  3. PS You need to watch Psych. It's mine and Jake's most favorite show. And I'm proud to be a creep following your family. (:
