Summer is officially here! In the state of Texas, I would deem the summer like unto our winter months back home - you have to stay indoors most of the time, and even then it's pretty miserable. The few months of this season are spent simply trying to survive. We do have an air conditioner, but I don't know if I consider it to be really working. Our upstairs is always nearing the 90's and if you have ever slept at my house (because I'm sure everyone reading this would have right?) I prefer high 60's during the night. Let's just say I'm looking forward to sleeping over the Thanksgiving holidays.
My trip home was so fun! I didn't get to see as many friends/family as I liked, but I still played a lot. Here are some of the happenings: I saw the Flight of the Conchords concert with Karli and some others which was hysterical. I went with my friends Becca on a random overnighter to a cabin in Idaho to get a palm reading (never done it before, but it was pretty fun). I had numerous slumber parties with my wonderful mom. I bought my first lotto ticket - no wins yet, but I have two more draws! Taven and I went to lunch with Nate's uncles who were visiting from New York and we ate at Tuccanos. All of my immediate fam except my hubby :( went to the Hogle Zoo and out to eat at Moochie's Meatballs (highly recommended). Basically to sum it up I had so much fun with a lot of really great people. Some pics of my adventures...




So I'm adjusting to being back "home" and hoping it will start feeling more like home the more I explore down here. I will post in the next few days about what has been going on since we got back, but until then happy June everyone!
